Fuel cell proton exchange membranes - Nafion

The standard electrolyte material presently used in PEMFCs is a copolymer of poly(tetrafluoroethylene) and polysulfonyl fluoride vinyl ether. The polymer is stable in both oxidative and reductive environments and has high protonic conductivity (0.2 S/cm) at typical PEMFC operating temperatures. Clean Fuel Cell Energy offers proton exchange membrane which is necessary in allowing the passage of ions to the anode and cathode sides of the fuel cell. Our membrane is available in three thicknesses, 2 mil, 5 mil, and 7 mil. Clean Fuel Cell Energy membranes are offered dry or pre-treated. For treatment options, please call or email us a request.
